Job Description

Hyliion is committed to creating innovative solutions that enable clean,flexible and affordable electricity production. TheCompany's primary focus is to develop distributedpower generators that can operate on various fuelsources to future-proof against an ever-changingenergy economy.

Job Purpose

The Technician, Engineering is responsible for supporting Engineering with setting up and performing hardware and systems testing. They also support assembly and procedure documentation of the generator and subsystem and the layout, setup, and execution to upgrades on generator test cells.

Duties and Responsibilities


Work hand and hand with the engineering team on assembly and testing of prototype and production hardware.
Identification and documentation of non-conformances
Provide feedback on assembly instructions and procedures

Qualifications include:


Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 5 years in an applicable field


Skills and Abilities

Good problem-solving skills
Proficiency with testing and inspection equipment
Metal fabrication
Ability analyze and execute assembly drawings

Role Classification and Working Conditions

This is an hourly, non-exempt-level position. This position typically works in a shop environment; and given the nature of our business is also exposed to operations/warehouses/production environments.Overtime may be required.

Physical/Other Requirements


Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to travel, as needed, by plane, automobile, etc.
