Job Summary:
Provide services for clients including evaluating patients, gathering patient
history, and identifying issues that need attention through the use of tests to develop a
treatment plan. Supervisory Responsibilities: May as Clinical Director and supervise professional counselors
and social workers.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the presenting needs of patients with a holistic approach that considers the patient’s
medical, psychological, emotional and social strengths and needs.
• Conduct age-appropriate psychological tests as indicated. Diagnose mental health and
substance use disorders as indicated.
• May provide therapy to clients if experience and expertise includes clinical work.
• In consultation with patient (and other providers as indicated), develop treatment plan and
supports to address their specific mental health and/or substance disorder treatment needs.
• Document progress notes clearly and thoroughly in the electronic health record within agency
timelines.
• Strive to meet the agency’s productivity requirements of the position.
• Collaborate with and advise Clinical Director, advance practice nurses, social workers,
professional counselors and other team members to ensure high-quality treatment and
coordination of care.
• Comply with Wellness and Resilience Center policies and procedures; federal, state and legal
regulations; mental health plan contractual requirements and mandated reporting rules.
• Adhere to the American Psychological Association Code of Conduct.
• Maintain client confidence and confidentiality per agency policy and federal law in compliance
with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and US Dept of HHS
42 CFR Part 2 Revised Rule for the treatment of substance use disorders.
• Champion the mission and demonstrate the values of Wellness and Resilience Center LLC.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and experience diagnosing and treating such
disorders in children, adolescents and adults with a holistic, client-centered and strengths-based
approach.

Education and Experience:
• Doctorate in psychology (PsyD, PhD) or a master’s degree in school psychology or equivalent
degree
• Current and unencumbered Ohio psychologist license; board certification preferred (e.g.,
American board of Professional Psychology, American Academy of Clinical Psychology)
• Experience with young children, in addition to older children, adolescents and adults preferred.
• Strong listening, observation, and communication skills.
• Empathy and sensitivity when working with clients.
• Expert diagnostic skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health records system
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and periods of alternately
sitting, standing and bending while assessing patients.
