Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:00p
The Tissue Receiving Coordinator:
Receives donor tissue into Solvita-Dayton.
Inspects packaging, labeling, and associated documents for accuracy and donor traceability.
Packages and ensures tissue, cultures, and blood are stored properly and within acceptable limits.
Identifies, communicates, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner.
Ensures potential special processing donors are identified and go through proper receiving paths.
Responsible for temperature monitoring and alarm handling of storage units.
Performs pre-processing cultures.
Performs discard process accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepares tissue for shipment to internal/external facilities for additional testing or processing.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer literacy.
Solid problem-solving, decision-making skills and strong attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions.
Must be guided by the highest level of integrity and people-centered care.
Work Environment/Physical Activities:
Must be able to take call and work after hours as needed.
Requires heavy lifting.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be considered insurable by Solvita insurance provider.
Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.

The tissue bank was born in 1986 and is now one of the nation's largest tissue banks. Solvita recovers, processes, and distributes human tissue grafts and is the nation's largest non-profit provider of skin grafts for burn patients.
