Responsibilities:
Culture: Foster an entrepreneurial environment for developing and maturing a new, fast-growth business that leverages the latest technology, nurtures unique supplier relationships, and acts fast to meet customer needs.
Strategy: Working with the VP, Smart Packaging Solutions, communicate, and implement the strategic plan for smart packaging solutions with a focus on RFID. Ensure there is alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
Own the process of defining and implementing the Smart Packaging Team's Project Management organization and process in a way that allows for the most effective execution of customer orders and communication between key stakeholders (sales, customer service, demand planning, supply chain planning).
Build and manage a team of Project Managers who help to best execute the process.
Customers: The RFID Project Management team will interact with customers and salespeople to gather & organize relevant information to the project(s). Some travel to customer sites and MCC facilities may be required.
Work with the Customer Service, Supply Chain & Demand Planning departments to make sure they have visibility to projects as they near the order stage.
R&D and Technological: When called for, help coordinate projects through the R&D and Technical Development process.
Compliance: Lead a culture of integrity, including compliance with all laws and regulations governing publicly held companies.
Safety and Risk Management: Assure a safe work environment, and the protection and efficient use of organization's assets.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates/Technical Degree required; with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the label printing industry.
Demonstrated RFID knowledge and industry trends is extremely helpful.
Solid project management skills and knowledgeable of project management tools and methods.
Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Proactive with all continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communications skills.
Good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel); plus, the ability to learn & train on label design software.
Travel and move about in offices and plants.
