Responsibilities

How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Signal Processing Engineer. You will collaborate with an empowered team of engineering experts across MTSI and our partners to support National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. You will utilize your expertise and experience in systems, subsystem, and component models for aerospace applications.

Responsibilities:

The Signal Processing Engineer will provide Scientific and Technical Intelligence support to MSIC. Responsibilities include data processing, analysis, algorithm enhancements, and the development of highly advanced technical technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts. You will:

Perform data exploitation of non-literal sensor data in the application of remote sensing technology to solve technical intelligence issues.
Investigate signal processing artifacts and anomalies and develop technically sound mitigation strategies.
Perform in-depth processing and exploitation of data and dissemination of phenomenology reports.
Support the resolution of highly complex, technical problems and provide advice and recommendations.
Perform radar cross section measurements.
Use your writing and communication skills to prepare and present reports, papers, proposals, briefings, and other documentation in both small and large group settings.

Collaborate with other technical personnel to achieve program results.

Qualifications

Required:

BS and 5+ years of related professional experience, or a Master's degree and 2-5 years of experience.
Ability to manage, manipulate, process, and analyze large data sets.
Experience developing novel signal processing algorithms.
Demonstrated knowledge of RF/signal processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED).
Demonstrated knowledge/programming skills in one or more languages (i.e. MATLAB, Python, C++).
Strong technical writing and briefing skills
Ability to organize and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
Ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical briefings.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to support interaction with a diverse technical team of Government and contractor personnel.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or related engineering field with 5+ years' experience

Master's Degree and 2-5 years of experience

Even better if you have these desired skills:

Knowledge of air defense, missile, and radar systems.
Experience developing and evaluating machine learning stacks which use radar signals.
Experience with X-Midas.

Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI eligibility)
