Responsibilities

How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:

MTSI is looking for a mid-career Radar Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will use your experience in systems, subsystem, and component analysis for electromagnetic spectrum applications. You will interact daily with Government and industry partners in the missile and space domain supporting Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers. This position is located at National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Responsibilities:

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Develop radar, data, communications, and/or electronic warfare models, algorithms, and simulations.
Perform trade-space analysis to assess and verify system characteristics and capabilities.
Document software and hardware characteristics and changes to existing and new simulation environments; analyze complex electronic systems; experimental design and test execution; data collection; and report generation.

Perform engineering analysis, research, development, testing, and other technical activities related to radar technologies.

Qualifications

Required:

8+ years of experience in the use of modeling and simulation software development frameworks (TMAP, AFSIM).
Experience with at least one programming/software development language (MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++, Python).
Understanding of electromagnetic system functions and dynamics, and how to model them, such as antenna array or component modeling.
Motivated self-starter. Able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment, often with minimal guidance and within rigid timelines.
Ability to interact with data suppliers, work well with coworkers and interface with customers, all at disparate locations.
Strong skills communicating complex technical issues and in providing comprehensive written, oral and/or digital products (including document organization and technical writing).
Strong analytic skills and the ability to apply these skills in a multi-tasking environment on one or more projects at a given time (typically one primary project and one or two ancillary projects).
Familiarity with contractor and government roles in applying intelligence analysis to electromagnetic system development and acquisition.
The candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Education:

B.S. degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics discipline. (Required)

Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics discipline. (Desired)



Even better if you have these desired skills:

Professional training in analysis related to space, terrestrial, weapon, and/or aircraft electromagnetic systems such as radar, passive sensors, and electronic warfare.
Specific experience analyzing radar, passive sensors, and/or similar electronic systems for capabilities and technological requirements.
An understanding of system-of-systems integration with the ability to accurately describe and model electromagnetic systems or individual components. Example capabilities include sensor fusion, bistatic radar, and communications networks.

Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI eligibility)
