Overview




As the Market Director of our Data Cloud Solutions Market, you will lead and manage a dynamic group of Team Leaders who share a goal to drive the reputation of Woolpert through client satisfaction, revenue growth, and superior service delivery. The Market Director will have a strong leadership presence, exceptional organizational acumen, exceptional character, and a skill set that is directly impactful and equally influential. The successful candidate will have proven experience collaborating to achieve new business growth and the ability to shape and drive a dynamic, positive winning culture. An equal emphasis shall be placed on achieving internal controls that assure alignment between plan, execution, delivery and strategic objectives. The Market Director must collaborate effectively with all departments, vertically and laterally ensuring all priorities are properly aligned. Success will be measured by professional development, market penetration and targeted KPIs established around Woolpert's Project Fundamentals and Strategic Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Provides critical linkages between the long-term strategic plan and near-term new business actions and partner with the Business Leaders to ensure effective use of business development resources across the group as well as identifying and responding to key customer relationship needs.

Client Engagement: Establish customer/ client relationships to identify and initiate opportunities within the Data Cloud Solution market with targeted customers. Engages customers in identifying and shaping opportunities. This includes active communication of filtered actionable intelligence back to the line of business and functional group staff. Promotes Woolpert as an industry leader for specified market/practice and service(s) with new and existing clients.

Market Analysis: Creates, manages, and implements go-to-market plans (to articulate and generate consensus for strategic vision, action plans, competitive intelligence, investments, business case, etc.).

Collaboration: Builds and delivers Woolpert's "trusted advisor" reputation while growing revenue and profitability, building relationships by trust through competency, delivery and thought leadership.

Networking: Makes formal presentations and/or publishes articles for professional/ trade/civic organizations.

Portfolio Management: Monitor and report on business development activities, including pipeline status, win/loss analysis, project and portfolio management.

Business Acumen: Develop long and short-term business plans with vision, strategy, structure and staffing for the Market. Align with company leadership on strategy and set financial goals to be achieved. Work with project and product delivery teams and corporate leadership to develop and implement changes that will create a competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

Education: BA/BS in Business related field (MBA preferred) and 15+ years of related business development, with a focus on geospatial technologies and their applications within related professional services industries.



Additionally, the Market Director brings:

Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to include briefings, sales calls, and team-based discussions.
A proven track record of successfully securing and managing large contracts.
Ownership of the business development process and provide longer-term account management to strategic partner accounts.
Demonstrated experience growing, mentoring, and leading a team.
Proven experience with strategic planning, large-scale capture management, customer relationship management
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships externally with customers and within Woolpert, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators.
Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management.
Experience with strategy design, project management, and organizational design and change.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting Woolpert and market, sector needs.



Travel:



Must be willing to travel up to 25%.



Resulting Physical Qualifications:

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to travel as required.
