The Position
The Regional Safety Manager helps foster a positive, safe environment for our employees alongside our Operations & Safety Leaders. This position will provide leadership, direction, and support on all Safety matters for assigned operations, branches, and departments. This includes measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the safety program, recommending, and implementing modifications as needed to achieve established safety goals and objectives. This position works closely with appropriate operational departments to direct the application and administration of established corporate safety programs.

About the role:
Works closely with facility managers to ensure continual improvement and compliance of all safety and environmental standards policies and procedures.
Recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent accidents, injuries, and health problems using safety training programs and other forms of communication.
Prepare high-quality safety performance reports for business management teams.
Assist with project safety planning and job task analysis (JTA) development.
Develop and implement employee safety education curriculum.
Collect and review data to expose trends and identify focus areas and underperforming locations or managers.
Identify potentially dangerous situations, materials, or processes through inspections, research, and education.
Provide coordination and guidance in response to incidents.
Review all incident and accident reports for root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions based on these experiences.
Maintain the appropriate regulatory documentation and records including environmental permits.
Assist in conducting safety culture assessments.
Assist in the development and execution of corporate safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
2 years in a manufacturing EHS or related capacity.
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of current Health and Safety Regulations
Proficient in Microsoft office
Exceptional problem-solving skills and results oriented ability.
Ability to travel frequently (50% travel)
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to speak/understand Spanish
Associate Safety Professional or ability to obtain certification within 3 years
Safety certifications are encouraged: OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, CIH (Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, Construction Safety and Health Technician, Occupational Safety and Health Technician, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
